Is a Numigo ID a good theft deterrent?
It is a fact that thieves and fences don't like marked and registered items because it is much more complicated to sell such goods. Opportunistic theft is also less likely to happen. The police very much supports the marking and registration of valuables.
What is Numigo's advantage in comparison to other lost and found services?
Numigo enables the communication of finder and owner of a lost/stolen item. A reward (the amount is communicated to the finder by the system) is also a big motivation for giving an item back. Some competitive lost and found services usually don't work world-wide and finders often only have the possibility to report a find by phone (via a pricey hotline).
