What are the advantages of Numigo?
Your personal data remain safe
Recovering lost items
Most people who find a lost item are honest, but what if the item's owner is unknown? This is why tens of thousands of items languish forever in Lost and Found offices and are never claimed. Numigo ensures that your belongings can find their way back to you. An anonymous number allows the finder to contact you without divulging your private data. What is yours should be able to get back to you!
Our soon to be launched 'Premium service' will add further capabilities for describing and documenting your items.
The anonymous Numigo ID has another advantage: It is not affected if you move, change your phone number or change your name. The finder's message will be forwarded to you regardless. Should you move or change your phone number, it does not affect the chances of your items finding their way back to you. The finder's message will always be forwarded to you.
Your personal data remain safe
Numigo protects your privacy. You don't need to write your address, name or phone number on your items. This could be a safety issue - especially with keys or luggage. The anonymous Numigo ID ensures that the finder can contact you via the Numigo platform. You can then decide which personal data you want to provide to the finder. If you have keys, for example, we recommend that you have them sent to a friend or acquaintance. Numigo never provides your personal data to the finder.
Always open
Numigo can be reached 24/7 from virtually anywhere in the world. It does not matter where an item is lost - no borders or barriers prevent the finder from contacting the owner, nobody depends from the opening hours of a lost and found office. Numigo makes it easy for the finder to reach you.
Inventory of your belongings
Police and insurance companies often lament that many owners are not able to provide information about their valuables. With Numigo, you always have a current list of your belongings which you can use in the event of theft or loss. Use Numigo to manage your belongings.
Theft deterrence
Items that are clearly tagged and registered are less likely to be stolen. Not only they are more difficult to sell, it also shows thieves that the owner is more vigilant. Thus the Police explicitly recommends marking and registering your valuables.
